An easy to use coffee maker that makes a great cup of coffee, and does so at a very reasonable price. If you are looking for a great cup of brewed coffee, and don't want to overspend for useless bells and whistles, this is perfect.

Worst carafe/basket design ever

I've had a few drip coffemakers in my time and this is by far the worst engineered carafe and basket design ever. It is far from dripless and removing the carafe while the machine is still brewing is a recipe for disaster. IT ALWAYS DRIPS ON THE HOT PLATE. Trying to put the carafe back is equally frustrating because it always gets hung up on the "valve" at the bottom of the basket. And, when pouring from the carafe, there is no way to not have coffee spill on the counter no matter how hard you try. Terrible design. Terrible appliance. If I could give zero stars, I would

We like this coffee maker. I have a concern about the carafe rubbing on the warming unit. It leaves a mark on both the burner and carafe. I hope this doesn't cause an issue later.

Such a difference! I had bought a cheepie brewer and it was awful. I would get a ton of grounds at the bottom of every pot. This brewer has a very well thought out system of hot water spray. There are no grounds at the bottom of this pot.
