This the the most work-intensive and messy coffee pot I've ever owned. We love coffee and can go through three pots consecutively. The grinder and chute retain stray grounds and need to be rinsed and dried after each pot. The basket cover retains grounds, and the basket is messy to empty. The bottom third of every pot is undrinkable because there is silt that creeps in from the brewing process (I am NOT over-filling the grinder). I've not been disappointed in my Cuisinart purchases in the past, but I would not recommend this coffeemaker to anyone.
My coffee machine stopped working within the warranty period, so i contacted Cuisinart. I was pleased with the outstanding customer service. This machine is a bit of an upgrade from the prior model. I've noticed some improvements such as, a larger grinder cup and chute, overall great machine. I'm pleased.
Very inconvenient to use. Needs complete cleaning and drying of the coffee bean chamber every time you use it since the chamber become full of water droplets. Poor design. Had the 900 for years and loved it until the grinder finally failed.
It's grinding system works just as well as our DGB-900 did without the burr grinder. Pouring beans into the one pot hopper is easier and cleaner, than the large hopper.
The dgb450 coffee brewer Id a great addition. We are able to freshly brew up to 10 cups at a time. The coffee maker has a programable function which allow it to start while still in bed.
I love the coffee it makes and it keeps it hot for a long time without the stale coffee smell permeating the air. This is my third machine because my acidic water eats through the heating coil and it leaks from the bottom. Other than that it is a consistent performer.
