Doesn’t keep coffee warm for a long enough period in thermos. Did you reheat in mug in microwave. Replaced with old style 12 cup grind & brew, glass carafe.
This coffee maker brews exception tasting coffee every time. It’s is a quality coffee maker that will last for years! It is easy to use, clean and set up.
Not very reliable. We are on our 3rd coffee maker in approx 3 years. They will get you a replacement after about 6 to 8 weeks under warranty but it is a pain to do this
Some of the ground coffee clumps up in the grinding area instead of going into the brew basket. This is a nuisance to clean and it must be clean and dry to make another pot. The grinder is preset to a fairly coarse grind requiring the use of more coffee beans to get the stronger flavour you may want. Steam from brewing collects in the grinder. Because of the need to wash and dry thoroughly all the grinder parts, we have resorted to pre grinding our coffee. We place it in the brew basket, bypassing the grinder. This makes an OK cup of coffee, but defeats the purpose of having a built in grinder. We do not recommend this particular coffee maker.
The carafe leaks where the black plastic meets the stainless steel. That is frustrating. In order to get all of the coffee out, you have to practically turn the coffee pot upside down. Even then, there is still coffee wasted.
It is also very tedious to clean. You have to take out the bean grinder portion every time. You must have a brush with a handle to clean the inside of the carafe. Your hand and a sponge will not fit in there.
A little disappointed, but I love coffee so..... it's worth it.
I received this coffeemaker as a gift. Although it seems like a great idea, I don't like the integral grinder.. The works of the grinder get moist and gummed up from the brewing process and that means I need to clean it just about every time. I'm also disappointed because the coffee isn't hot enough, even right after brewing.
