The cheapest made Cuisinart coffee pot I have ever owned! The water lit is not attached and easily falls into water tank. Lid to put coffee & filter in needs to be held by coffee machine to open. My previous 4 cup Cuisinart was sturdy and designed well. I will never buy another Cuisinart coffee maker!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had the old model for years, you made all the changes that i would have recommended. I had the 4 cup and couldnt see the water, so i always over filled and the wster would be on the counter. The removeable water chamber i love,no mess. i like the permanent filter comes with, i normally brought one. The blinking light lets me know when it is done. I also really like the filter too. They kept all the features of the old style that i like.
Just moved into an apartment with a smaller kitchen. This coffee maker fits perfectly, it’s small but packs a punch! The stainless steel design is sure to fit in with any kitchen decor. The coffee comes out really hot too. Perfect for smaller places.
I'm very please with this coffee maker. The coffee tastes great and is very hot at completion of brewing, which is the way I like it. With a stainless steel carafe there is no worry about breakage.
Purchased to replace the 4 cup. The coffee is hotter, but I am still trying to find the correct ratio of water to coffee to match the taste from the 4 cup machine. The lid to fill the water is not attached, and while I have not dropped it in the water tank yet, I would have preferred it to be attached. The carafe is thinner than the 4 cup-seems cheaper. Overall, I still prefer the 4 cup maker and I wish it was not discontinued. I was hoping to be "wowed" by the upgrade-not the case.
I’m so pleased with decision to replace my Mr Coffee coffee maker. Yes Mr Coffee was working but after reading reviews about the Cuisinart I wanted to see if the coffee really did taste better! IT DOES…coffee isn’t bitter or upsets my stomach. Perhaps because of filters? At any rate I’m very pleased with my purchase!
The coffee maker is of good general construction. It has worked well for the few weeks that we have had it. It is perfect for about 2-3 regular cups of coffee. It has a steel mesh coffee grounds holder or it uses # 2 size coffee filters. We use the paper coffee filters. It is easy to clean and makes good coffee. Frankly, it makes much better coffee than any of the inexpensive glass carafe coffee makers we have had. The only negative aspect for us is that we were looking for a thermos-type pot to keep the brewed coffee warm. This pot is just a thin metal and not a thermos.
This is an outstanding coffee maker. We have bought 4-5 units of this and it's prior models over this last 20 years. They last long, hot coffee and you make small improvements to make them a little better.
