Out of the toasters I have owned in my life this is the first one that has toasted evenly when following the instructions and experimenting until you get it adjusted to your liking. It is built well and does what it advertises it will do. It is sturdy all metal construction and I own several Cuisinart appliances and all are of excellent quality. I recommend this toaster to anyone who is looking to buy one.

Need a 2 slice rather than a 4 slice toaster. Have always relied on the Cuisinart 4 slice toaster when we had a larger family to deliver the right degree of toasting to each family member for their toast, bagels or English muffins. Never disappointed in the past
