OK, lots of great improvements over the last model. Love the pouring light so you can see how full your cup is. Give me an a for that. But, you still use the same plunger to release the coffee into the cup. If not for that plunger, I would still be using, my old Cuisinart. So please come up with a new plunger or at least a quick and easy way to replace it once it gets crusty and begins to leak. Lastly, whose idea was it to drain all the water from the top showerhead if you will into the coffee dispenser ? You take everything out to clean everything out and as soon as you do all the water runs down into the only area that’s not supposed to get wet. This is another design flaw. Otherwise, I am totally happy with my Cuisinart.
This is the second cuisinart 12 cup programmable coffee maker I have owned. I love it! The first one I owned was used everyday of the year and lasted over 10 years without any problems. I would highly recommend this product to others looking for a carafe free coffee maker!
For the first 6 days this unit was perfect. Exactly what we always wanted. Then it started leaking and got worse as we continued makyour coffee. Finally when we had to empty drain dish 3 times for one session WE SENT IT BACK FOR REFUND.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was a gift & I was excited to use it! However, after about 5-6 times of use, the pour lever began to leak as 12 cups of coffee were brewing. It leaked everywhere! Not sure what caused it. It worked perfectly before that. This is the second Cuisinart product I’ve gotten that suddenly broke after only a few uses. I’ve never had issues with any other coffeemaker brands. Very disappointing!!
