It’s easy to use and I love the double sided printing. The only thing I’d have like is an instruction booklet. I’m sure there are functions that it does that I don’t even know about. Plus, if I need to do something (like double sided copying, I don’t know how to do it as my previous HP printer didn’t do that.

This was purchased to replace an Office Jet pro 8710. Although it does print it is not a good replacement.
Issues include difficulty in starting up, requiring a call to support, rebooting modem, powering up and down, reinserting cartridges etc. certainly not plug and play. The need to connect to the internet is silly. The Insta Ink program may have some value but the ability to give control of my printer to some entity if I use a non Insta Ink - yet still oem HP cartridge is totally u acceptable but accept I must if I want to print. Getting out of the program is also difficult. This should not be. Its my printer purchased outright with my money. I own it therefore I should be able to do as I wish. If I choose to use the proper HP cartridges purchased at a lower cost then I should be able to do so. HP still gets the sale whether it is to a middle supplier or factory direct. And bonus to HP you still bet my monthly fee without providing anything.
If my printer gets shutdown because if this, it will be put into the recycle bin and a competitors unit will be purchased.
Tbe double sided print option where I have to remove the paper, flip it over and restart is dumb. That is single sided printing with human intervention. A large document will take hours of labour to perform that action whereas my 8710 could run by itself unattended.
The build quality seems much flimsier than the 8710 as well. I was very happy with the 8710 until a small spring was found near the printer. Being unsure where it came from and fearing a failure at an in opportune time this number printer was purchased but unless I am seriously misunderstanding the functions, the Insta Ink program I regret this purchase after over 20 years of HP loyalty. The date of use is approximate.

Print, copy, scan and best of all, sending fax to anybody and anywhere 💯. I didn't have to leave home to use public service or buy a different fax machine. The ink is fantastic 👌
