I had to replace the previous unit and after looking at alternatives to HP found that most subscribers were pleased. Unfortunately all of the ink cartridges sent to replace the original cartridges that came with the unit failed being recognized. I went through all the suggestions several times, finding that different cartridges at different times were showing as not acceptable. When the previous original were put back in (almost empty) they were recognized. I sent a case in a month ago - asking for a box to return them - now you want to know how you are doing…disappointing.
The HP Ink restrictions make it a worthless printer.

I have had several printers over the years, all of which have served me well. Due to the restriction of only using HP ink and the print management program being so expensive with no real return on the cost, this printer now just collects dust in the garage. After years of using HP printers, I have been forced to use another brand that doesn't require me to either a pages printed / ink replacement program or buying overpriced HP exclusive Ink cartridges. HPs marketing ploy here has just cost you a customer...
I love the quality, the pages come out perfect. They're clear and easy to see. This is the perfect printer. I recommend this one to all my friends and neighbors.
the setup was easy - but issues with printing jams were frustrating - and the manual doesn't provide clear instructions or pictures. In addition, the HP print cartridge program only works if you are always online. that was a waste of money.
Takes awhile to adjust the settings but prints nice and clean

Just for occasional printings. If I change the printer settings it has to go through a number of adjustments which can be aggravating if need job in a hurry.
The HP designers did not consider that the screen would be barely readable in desktop applications.Making a copy requires me to into my desk and then poke some tiny icons. The icons are so small I often cannot press on first try.
