The Instant Ink feature is, in my opinion, a misuse of distorted, inaccurate hype which HP uses to maximize its profits at the expense of both the consumer and thevenvironment. It is misleading to the consumer who is led to beieive that this is a time-saving convenience without noting the actual impact upon the environment.

Printing quality if good quality which is essential for me. This is a replacement to an older lost after a second power outage HP multifunctional printer. Moving from my house which had cable for internet use, but now at an apartment with only fiber optic connection for internet using WiFi, I had difficulty with set up. I realized eventually printing difficulties were due to no longer having the printer directly connected to my computer by cable. I was accustomed to creating a document within Microsoft abd sending directly to print. When this would not work, I needed to use the program available in HP that gives print options. I am still learning the how to’s of using it, but as I recall, PDF documents can be sent directly by selecting print and it prints right away. But selecting a Word document, it can only print after using the HP program printing selections. Note: This statement may be just the reverse of which document prints directly and indirectly. I have not printed in a while. Again, I believe it is happening due to being WiFi connected for both the laptop computer and the printer. Once I begin using my desktop computer which is Ethernet connected with its own WiFi, I will see what is needed to print documents from it.

IT NEVER SMEARS AND THE INK CARTRIDGES ARE VERY EASY TO REPLACE WITH NO MESS. THE BEST PART IS MY PLAN. WHEN I REPLACE AN INK CARTRIDGE THE SYSTEM KNOWS AND WILL AUTOMATICALLY SEND A REPLACEMENT.
