I like my old printer better. It only used 2 ink cartridges 1 black & 1 color. It knew when I had envelopes in the tray to print or when I had paper in the tray to print without me having to change settings. I call that SMART. With this new printer I have to manually change printer settings from envelope to paper, or paper back to envelope in order for it not to say paper mismatch. I would not recommend this printer to anyone.
I am getting low ink signals, but no indication of when replacement ink will arrive. When I check the website, I just get ads for purchasing a plan I already have.
This is my 2nd HP Printer. I just had tor retire my first printer (about 12 years old!) and even though it still worked, it did not have the interface/mechanics (?) to work with new modem and new HP computer I just purchased for WIndows 11. This one is very nice --sleek design, fits on my printing cart, printing is clear and crisp and really nice professional output on all my printing jobs. I am grateful for those attributes as they are important to my small home business. However, the older printer was simple, easy to use and read. This one has an electronic panel that shows you all the functions ( way more than what I need to know) but others might find very useful. It was a breeze to set-up--just follow the very well written directions. I like using a cable rather than wifi, but you need to set it up with wifi and then switch over to cable --this is per the directions for set-up. I am not a tech person at all and I set up both the 1st printer and this one thanks to the printer model and well written steps. I am so happy with the professional quality work this printer is generating! May it last as long as its predecessor!
