[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently started getting into sous vide and I must admit that this mighty tool is a must have in any kitchen. Breville really put some thought into this design, it looks absolutely stunning and the Breville Joule app makes use very simple. The coolest feature is the autopilot option, which will actually connect your phone to the Joule Sous Vide and cook for you. There are tons of recipes and simple instructions that can be followed. For someone like myself that can forget steps or isn’t the best home cooks, this thing makes home cooking a breeze.

Pretty cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew a thing like this existed. I thought it was pretty cool and for some reason I thought it needed to be on a stove. This is really nice if you have an outlet to plug it into and no stove around. It boils it really nicely.

Best Thing For Cooking Red Meat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item is the best sous vide for an affordable price. It's very easy to use and the size is perfect for storing in small cabinets or drawers. The magnet on the bottom of the joule is also helpful. I used to dread cooking steak before using this tool.

What’s the big deal?

I’m currently cooking a tri tip using a recipe that’s not in the Joule app. As far as I can tell it’s not using any of the turbo features. The last time I cooked a tri tip (with my old Joule) I cooked for 24 hours. This time I’m doing 20 hours, but that has nothing to do with Turbo. Would seriously like to know what the big deal is. There are very few “Turbo” recipes available on the app and you apparently have to use a Turbo recipe to get the Turbo to work? Sounds like this is all just marketing hype and a way to sell more expensive gadgets. Not sure I’ll ever experience the so-called Turbo feature.
There is allegedly an auto pilot feature. But I sure can’t find it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review and feedback. There are specific recipes in the app that take advantage of the Turbo function. For the recipes that take advantage of the Auto-Pilot function, you'll see a little airplane icon attached. The number of recipes for both functions will continue to increase. There is currently no Turbo or Auto-Pilot recipe specifically for tri-tip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've heard of Sous Vide, but I've never really tried it before getting the Joule. I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed at little piece of machinery. It pairs with an app that literally takes all the work out of cooking! It cooks your food for you, lets you know when it's time for the next step or when it's all done, and it's so fast. I'm going to be cooking quite a bit more instead of going out, now that I have this little beauty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A Sous Vide is an awesome kitchen tool that every household should have. You can use this device to set a specific cooking temperature. This will heat the water and maintain it at that constant temperature through the whole cooking process. This allows for precise cooking, resulting in evenly cooked steak and making it a hassle-free cooking experience. You can also use this to cook other things like chicken, pork, fish, or even vegetables. The Sous Vide device has an intuitive app that provides limitless recipes with detailed step-by-step instructions & pictures. The app can also be used to remotely monitor the cooking process. This particular Sous Vide has a flat magnetic bottom that can hold secure in certain pots. It also has a unique ‘turbo’ feature that supposedly can cut the cooking time by half.
