Breville will make these useless

The Turbo has no dial, no display, no way to set a temperature without the app. My original Joule was built the same way. It was six years old and working perfectly when Breville retired its app, and it became unusable overnight — nothing on it broke.
Breville support confirmed it "cannot be migrated" and offered me a 25% discount toward this model, which will meet the same fate the day they retire this app. They've done it once; there's no reason to think they won't again.
I paid a premium for Breville and this is how they stand behind it. Buy a sous vide with controls on the body, and not from this company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

They force you to sign up to use it

I tried to use my machine and now i have to sign up for a new account with them. I only want the machine to turn on and work. Now they are holding it hostage until I sign up for thier subscription. If you buy something you own it. It should be able to work without having to sign away your life to use it

I replaced my older Joule (non-turbo) with this. It heats up slightly faster, and it is just as quiet. One misstep was that they placed the clip too high up on the unit, so it won't clip to shorter pots, and, unlike the older model, it doesn't have a magnetic base.
