[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Joule just about a month ago. I am a newbie so I was rather excited (and skeptical) to try this. I searched my freezer for some meat to do my first test run. I downloaded the app (which was very fast and easy) and followed the very simple instructions it guided me too. With the convenience of technology i was able to walk away from the pot and was notified on my phone once the water had reached the proper temperature to put my meat in. I can honestly say it was the best piece meat I have ever made. I am really happy I gave this a shot.

The Joule Turbo is a good Sous Vide device with a OK App. But the app is trashed up with a lot of garbage when the app is opened unlike the app for the non turbo device. The Turbo feature is also over hyped. It only seems to be useful for steaks and some chops. And the time savings are not that big a deal. Not worth upgrading from an older Joule.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The new Joule is slimmer and a much faster Sous Vide tool than the original. It works great! My only beef (pun intended) is the new app, which is keeping this from a 5-star review. I download the app to my iPad, which is my primary device in the kitchen, and you get an app that was created for a phone. No way to bring it to full screen on the iPad. This is a developer issue that really should be resolved soon. It is not anywhere as user friendly as the original.

Consistent Results once you get the hang of it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exhnage for my honest review. The Breville Joule Turbo Sous Vide is a nifty little device. I have not previously tried cooking in this style and was eager to test it out. After a little prep of needed materials and a decision on what to try cooking, I decided to try sous vide eggs first. The results were very uniformly cooked eggs and this was consistent across all that I cooked. It may be a bit daunting for a beginner but the outcome was well worth it and the device itself feels sturdy and well-made so I plan to be experimenting with more recipes for years to come.

I own another Sous Vide made by another company and was not impressed with the results. I decided to try the Joule Turbo Sous Vide, WOW this things is awesome. I have prepared Rib Eye Steaks, Pork Chops and Port Tender Loin. Each meal was perfect. I look forward to using it again.

The new Joule Turbo replaced an original Joule. The Tirbo is a step up. Connectivity is better and it seems quieter. Otherwise works about the same as the original. Made a fantastic tri tip, best ever. The code also turned out perfect.
Have not cooked a Turbo recipe yet. Probably because there are so few recipes. This was a disappointment. I didn’t know the Turbo function only works with certain meats. I plan to keep the turbo and gift the original Joule.
I probably would still have bought it even knowing the limited use of the Turbo feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a MUST-HAVE kitchen product for every household. It helps makes cooking faster and food better. The Joule Turbo is extremely easy to use with an app to help make cooking easier and with great instructions. It also does remote monitoring as well. Also really great for if you have any left overs in a sealed pouch to cook better!

Turbo verses original

I really don’t see any difference in this one and two I have. I do I have a 3rd one that doesn’t have the magnet metal bottom. I bought the first two and had to wait 1 yr for it to be ready for delivery then 2 years ago a bought the third one. I love cooking with them.
