I haven’t used it but a couple times. I couldn’t get it to work with the app….until I realized there are two Joule apps…lol…connected right away!!! I think the original Joule app is easier to navigate but I’m sure I’ll easily become adept in short order.
I have been using the regular sous Vide for over year, then up graded to the turbo, and yes I am loving the speed of the heat up of the turbo over the old sous vide, the only thing I am not loving is the lay out of the new app, copared to the old app, it just seems like hard work just to do simple things, please rethink this and if possible if you can't change the new app then at least allow the turbo to be used with the old app.
If you're going to promote an upgrade to existing Joule users on our app, then you should clearly state that only a small minority of recipes can actually take advantage of the turbo function rather than stating that you can cut cooking times by up to 50% without any other info.
I feel like Breville cheated me. And to add insult to injury, you removed some of the Joule recipes I've been using. Why would you do that?
I upgraded for no reason and wasted my money. If I hadn't already promised my original Joule to a friend, I would be returning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was intrigued by the promise of the Turbo to speed up the cook, at least for non-frozen foods. I do like the equipment, although being taller than the old Joule, it doesn't fit my case. The issue is with the new app. While it has lots of "Turbo Steak with this that and the other" recipes, sometimes I just want a quick temp and time for a piece of meat, like the old "Basic Steak", but with the Turbo timing. I don't like having to page through all the "Recipes of the Day", etc. As a result, I've only done one "turbo" cook. I'm sure that the app will evolve, but for now there is just too many "steps" to get to what I want to do.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With my busy schedule I figured this would be a great addition to our kitchen. When it came there was a lot of setup with the application on my phone. Using it was easy but lots of prep. When I did use it and have the ford, steak, it tasted good but the look of it is not what I am use to. I am a visual and texture person so it didn’t work for my taste buds. I am thinking I maybe an old fashion and need to cook regular.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your feedback. Searing the steak after the sous vide will give you the look/presentation you're looking for. Should questions or issues arise, please don't hesitate to send us an email to askus@brevilleusa.com or call us at 866-273-8455. We'll be happy to help you from there.
This is a perfect device for busy individuals, who would like to eat healthy and tasty food. I made chicken breasts and they taste great with minimal effort on my part.
My older appliance couldn’t get up to temp so I got a discount when I purchased the new Breville model. The new one works better. Cooks a steak from frozen in about 45 minutes with the turbo cook. Still has the original cooking settings as the older app had.
New Joule Turbo works great... But the old Joule travel case won't work for the new Joule because of slightly longer length. I hope they will release a new travel case soon...
