Could be better.

Bought this air conditioner to cool our small bedroom at night. It blows cold air but runs constantly and struggles to cool our small bedroom. It’s not super noisy but not quiet either. Set the temperature on 65 and it runs and runs and while our other thermostat reads 69 so some improvement could be used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When Eco mode is off, the fan runs continuously while the compressor cycles, which provides more consistent temperature control. This is normal operation. Not a good fit for the window.

It took forever to install. The panel curtain never did fit. We had to cut to pieces of board for the window. The fit was not good and there is a space between the bottom of the air conditioner and the window sill. We have just stuck a towel under it.

We recommend closely following the Installation Instructions for proper installation. These instructions can be found starting on page 9 of the Use and Care Manual here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--Y8eJn2g7--/xmxbwo6zyygoh2afarub.pdf. If you're unable to install the AC based on the instructions, we do not recommend installation, as that is how the unit was designed and tested for use.

Timer can be set for on and off. Can run just the fan for air circulation. Several cooling an fan modes plus an echo mode. Quieter than most of this size. Easy installation.

Side slides are very short !

The side slides are not wide not enough for an average window ; this is not my first GE window unit and I was very disappointed that the side slides were so short requiring us to have to improvise .

This unit was designed to fit within a standard double-hung window with a width of 21-7/8" minimum to 36" maximum, with the side curtain panels included.
