Side curtains don't fit onto the air conditioner.

The side curtains don't fit into the metal slots on the air conditioner frame. The end of the side curtain that you slide into the air conditioner is too big for the slots. Does not fit! I had to duct tape the sides to the air conditioner. I called and complained and they sent me the same exact ones. They don't fit!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good A/C unit

Nice, good working, and easy to install a/c unit. I do not like the default "Eco" feature on power up everytime. Also, the air flow baffles do not channel the air flow. Air blows straight forward no matter how you adjust the baffles.

Great for a smaller room

So far it runs very quiet and cools a small bedroom pretty well. Unit looks nice but the window surround framework is pretty flimsy. Once installed it seems fine. Highly recommend purchasing some white weather stripping to finish the install and keep bugs out.

Better Cooling

The cooler keeps our large master bedroom at a nice comfortable temperature for sleeping. It is much quieter than an older unit that we replaced. Very easy to feel the difference immediately.

Using this unit in a 12x16 completely insulated with blown in insulation ( even under the floor) in North Central Alabama. It has been in use 24/7 for the first half of June. June temps upper 80’s daytime & mid 60’s at night. This unit has been truly “plug & play”. I set the temp to 72 and the fan to auto. I do have a thermometer in the building with a station that displays the temp inside my home. It consistently maintains that temp. Controls are intuitive. Install was a breeze. I like the factory attached metal bar across the top that holds it in place against the metal frame of the raised window with no stress on the window. I find it to be at least as quiet as the previous unit that I had here. Overall, very pleased with unit’s performance & ease of use. Oh, almost forgot! I like its “slide out” filter too! It hasn’t needed cleaning yet but, it removes and replaces easily pulling out of the Left side of the unit vertically and slides back in easily. I like the built in “screen” filter which I feel would clean easily with a handheld or shop vac.

Installed this unit in my daughter's bedroom. Her room would get so hot she couldn't sleep in there. After buying this her room is now the coolest room in the house! We keep is set at 74 and it's perfect. It is great for a small to medium size room and isn't loud at all!
