I have my 6,000 BTU in a small bedroom and I put it at 64 and doesn't seem to be cooling. Very dissapointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please make sure there are no curtains, blinds, or furniture blocking the front of the air conditioner, as this can restrict airflow. Also, ensure the room is closed off and that no other windows are open. Allow sufficient time for the unit to cool the space effectively. Typically, it takes about 15–30 minutes to cool a properly sized room. However, in rooms with higher starting temperatures (around 85°F), it may take 45 minutes to an hour to reach a comfortable temperature.

I love my new GEAir Conditioner ,plus with a remote control it will save on energy and I'm very happy with my appliance thank you so much I'm very comfortable at 65°degrees on a hot day of 84° degrees outside

We want to help out with your air conditioner not cooling as expected. The first thing we recommend checking is if any cold air is escaping from the window seals. You can also check the outdoor coils (on the rear of the unit) for dirt buildup. If dirty, vacuum with soft bristle brush.
