Amazing cooling ability definitely worth the inves

I bought this A/C unit for my grandparents house in southern Oklahoma where there house gets 110-115 during the day in the summers and it cools there man room off like an Arctic wind

Good powerful cooling unit

I bought this in case I needed it for something specific. I tried it out, and it is a nice cooling machine. The exhaust hose is long enough for where I will have it placed. I knew this already, It doesn't come with a continuous water hose, so if you want to run it that way, you will need to get one. I tried running the unit with and without the continuous hose, and it's easy to drain when the hose is not in use. There's a little plug on the bottom of the unit. The one I had worked well with this unit.

Powerful output of cool air however the exhaust hose is so very large in diameter and with the required 18” space around the unit I am forced to move or rid myself of furniture in a sparsely furnished room to accommodate it all. It also gets hot enough after a few hours on low that it emits a smell making me think it’ll catch fire at any moment. I am afraid to run it overnight for this reason. I have yet to see it shut off via the thermostat temp matching that of the room. It is louder than I expected. I was excited about my purchase after reading reviews but now I’m not so sure I made the right choice. I can’t afford to rethink my decision without returning the unit as I live in Arizona and triple digit temperatures outdoors require some form of indoor cooling. I can’t do without AC. Regular fans aren’t enough and water coolers create too much humidity. I feel stuck. I hope this works out well for me.

Only had it running for a couple days, but it works in my smaller home. The only issue I have right now is they should include the drainage hose. I'm curious how frequently I'm gonna have to drain it.
