Blows cold air but the manual leaves you guessing

Purchased this unit over the weekend and just received it today. Setup is straight forward if you're mechanically inclined but could be confusing to the average person not used to assembling things. This is a smaller unit and may not be suitable for larger rooms. Mine is just under 100 square feet and this unit seems to cool it an the adjacent bedroom pretty well.

Compact and Cold AC

The WPAC is compact and dense for its size so was a bit shorter and heavier than I expected but not overly heavy.
Installation of the unit took just a few minutes, and the manual's instructions are clear and easy to read. There are just a few parts to put on and a plug. I plan to eventually drill a hole in the floor for where it is located so we can later use the continuous drain, our humidity can be high during the summer and fall.
Using the provided remote, with included batteries that I don’t have to go out and buy, I turned on my WPAC8000 and tested out its AC and fan features. For such a small AC unit it really got my addon room cold very quickly. In just a few minutes it made the room from sweaty to comfortable. It is also much quieter than the ceiling fans and window units we have in the rest of my home. It creates a soft noise that most people would tune out.

Westinghouse is the third brand of portable air conditioners I’ve purchased in the last 2 years. It’s about a quarter size smaller, but more powerful, quieter and efficient of them all. I wish I bought this first. They all pretty much operate about the same, but the power and design of this one is of much better quality. The added function of HEAT STRIP is what originally attracted me, but the efficiency and functionality of the Air Conditioner is noticeably better than the others. Best of 3!
