Great Unit for Garage

I love this unit a lot, it helps lower down garage temperature while working in garage by 5-6 degrees. Its really helpfull. Love the fact you dont need to worry about drain pipe, I purchased addition shoot hose (5 inch dia) about 32 feet in length. Then I have flexibility to move this puppy around.

Nice features heating/cooling/fan and dehumidifier

I ordered this particular portable air conditioner because of the extra features particularly the heat. I thought it would be nice for the unit to be functional year round since it would be taking up a bit of real estate in my home. I really have zero storage space so it has to take up space in a room all the time.
I've had it 2 months and have had the chance to use it for cooling and surprise... heat too. I haven't used the instructions for basic operation. It probably does alot more than I've found. It's quite simple to figure out.
I did use the instructions for set up. This was not.as.easy as i had expected although it should have been. When I tried to twist the ends on the vent the directions said to screw clockwise. I could not get them on. I finally took the 3 pieces to a friend to.have him try. Counter clockwise! So when I got the vent hose assembled and back home I attached the window piece and attempted to put it in the window. It was too wide ro fit my window. I was not at all wanting to cut.the piece myself to make it small enough to fit. But since it is plastic it was fairly easy to cut with my dull hacksaw. I hid the cut end on the inside and it all worked out.

We received this as a gift right out of the box the fan blue but not making cold air in air conditioning mode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
