[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just started baking and made my first Cherry pie last week. The crust was my biggest fear of failure and it tuned out excellent. I could have never done it without the mixer. I would certainly recommend one for a beginner like me or an experienced person. It is so easy to use. An additional plus is that cleaning after use is a breeze. Nothing but happy feelings about this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reason I did not give a five star is that the head of the model I bought ( KSM195PSCA) cannot be locked to keep it lifted. I wish KitchenAid's website and manual were more explicit about that. The only mention of this option in the manual provided with the mixer reads:
"Then, lock** the head to keep it lifted. **Locking option is available on selected models."
The problem with this lack of explanation, is that people like me try to lock the head in the upward position, until they realize that they are just scratching the paint off the back of their brand new mixer...because there is no groove for the locking system to fit in. Too bad, especially given the price of this item...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] KitchenAid Stand Mixer is more than just an appliance, it’s my kitchen sidekick! I absolutely love my new Artisan Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer! It looks stylish in matte black and is sure to look nice in any kitchen.
The 5-quart mixer is the perfect size as it fits nicely under our kitchen cabinets. The built-in tilt feature allows for sufficient clearance to mix anything up. The size profile is just big enough to be effective without eating up so much of your counter space comparatively to the lift action stand mixers.
This stand mixer is literally a miracle worker as it reduces my prep/mixing time in half while doing it efficiently so no more need for the hand mixer. I love that this Artisan series includes the premium accessory pack because not only does it include all of the primary attachments, but it also includes a 3 and 5 quart bowl. This is awesome in cases where I’m making batter and I need to make frosting or crème as well. No need to clean out your original bowl before working on the next thing.
The great thing about this stand mixer is how versatile it can be. I love using it to mix up my batches of ground meat for meatballs, meat loaf, and dumpling fillings. I also like make my own breads and pasta dough. It becomes a family affair as my kids like join when cooking as they love to help put/pour ingredients into the bowl with the aid of the pouring shield.
KitchenAid’s Stand Mixer is a keeper and definitely worth its weight in gold as it provides tremendous value not only as an appliance but in the time it can save you! I’m looking forward to purchasing and trying some of their other attachments as well.

A great gadget!

This particular mixer comes with attachments that allow you to easily make and create dishes and pasta easily! The only downside is that it’s large and takes up a bit of room on the counter.

375 Watts underpowered for bread dough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using and will continue to use a 575 Watt Kenwood mixer (5 quart same as my new Kitchen Aid). The difference in power is very noticeable and I am making 1 loaf worth of dough at a time (500-600 g flour) ... this "plain" bread: water/flour/salt/starter, i.e. no butter or eggs. If I had it to do over, I would stick to the Kenwood or buy a more powerful Kitchen Aid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect for using when the whole family is coming over with the larger bowl, or when it’s just a few coming over with the small bowl. I love the guard/cover for the bowl as it clamps on and is very way to use and keeps in one place unlike previous styles from Kitchenaid mixers. I love that I’ll be able to use this with other attachments that I already own, too. Totally recommend this Kitchenaid mixer for every home! Grab one today and you’ll not regret it!

Small Batches of cookies maybe
