I got this for making sourdough breads. I had some vibration from the beginning, but it was even worse this morning with cinnamon roll dough. It kept walking across my counter. The vibration was so bad, it must have loosened the screw at the front and the round plate fell into my dough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not what it used to be

This is my 2nd Kitchen Aid and it is just not what it used to be like my grandmoms that lasted forever. I use my Kitchen Aid all the time and my first one finally gave out and bought my 2nd and parts already needed to be replaced for the amount of money I paid i thought I would get a couple of years out of it. I am considering the Pampered Chef on now and going to give that one a try. What do I have to lose at this point.

Why did I wait?

I love this mixer and have enjoyed using it from making cakes to shredding chicken to mashed potatoes. I can’t wait to add attachments. Also, the matte black is prettier than what I thought!

The best stand mixer made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent mixer. It is my second one, having purchased my first mixer in the early 90’s. It was still going strong but I needed the tilt head feature so I gave my workhorse to a dear friend. The only difference between that mixer and my new one is the quality of the attachments. My old mixer had attachments that could have been thrown out of an airplane at cruising altitude and wouldn’t have even gotten scratched. The new attachments, as I’ve found with everything I’ve purchased in the last 15 years, are not as sturdy nor as well built. Unfortunately, everything is now made for obsolescence, forcing us to buy more and more and more.

71 yr old grandma here, I love our KitchenAid stand up mixer! My husband and I were asking what to get each other for Christmas and talking about making cookies for our neighbors this year. In comes an email about KitchenAid’s sale. Yep, our gift to each other! We’ve made so many cookies and so much bread of every flavor lol. Thank you KitchenAid!

Super Disappointed.

Had a similar model for 15+ years, and received this as a gift when the first one died. The motor sounds like it's straining when creaming butter & sugar, and flings ingredients out of the bowl even on low speed. I never needed to use the pouring shield, but this new mixer flings ingredients out of the back even if I have the shield on. The head of the mixer bounces no matter what I'm mixing - even though the beater height has been properly adjusted. I expected the same -- or better -- performance from this new model, not a decrease in quality and functionality. Really regretting not refurbishing the old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I don't even know where to begin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was a little girl, my dad bought my mom a KitchenAid mixer. She used it for a few years and then gave it away. I was heartbroken. I wanted it so bad. Fast forward to last week, when I got mine. I was FLOORED! We made 5 different kinds of Christmas cookies in one day. Between the two bowls, one would be in the dishwasher while the other was being used. Oh. And the splash guard is AMAZING! I love that there is no mess and you can gradually add ingredients like flour as you go along! The mixer made baking day 100x easier!
Cleanup is a breeze, too. Just take off the mixer attachment, wash it in the sink, throw the bowl in the dishwasher, and wipe down the mixer itself with a sanitizing wipe. Done and done.
I love it so much that I'm currently looking for non-baking related ways to use my new KitchenAid - mashed potatoes are already on my list, but I'm thinking of dips, stuffing, and maybe even some casseroles would benefit. I'm in LOVE.
