Good But…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new mixer and accessories, but I used my large bowl once and hand washed it. Went to use a second time and the bowl has tarnished around the rim. That’s why I only gave 4 stars.

A Kitchen Must Have

It is the best investment I have ever made for my kitchen. I have made pizza dough, cinnamon rolls, Whipped up eggs, muffins, cookies, anything you can think of. I recommend it to anyone!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t like that this mixer didn’t come with stainless steel attachments, so I bought the three piece stainless steel attachment set separately. I made a chocolate cake using the attachment with the built in scraper. As I was pouring the batter into the cake pans I noticed that in the bottom of the bowl, the batter was not well mixed. So when I went to make the frosting for the cake, using the whisk attachment, I lowered the attachment head by turning the adjustment screw one turn. I made the frosting and checked the bottom of the bowl and it still wasn’t mixed well, so I lowered it another turn of the screw and mixed some more. I had to do this several times. Then the mixer started working too hard, making a thumping sound, which told me that it was too low. But that was the only way I could get it to mix the frosting in the bottom of the bowl. It also did not reach out all the way on the sides of the bowl. I spent so much time adjusting the attachment, scraping down the bowl, and checking to see if it was thoroughly mixed. I’ve never had a mixer that made so much extra work. I’m really disappointed with this mixer and will probably just use my hand mixer next time to get it thoroughly mixed quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Favorite cooking accessory

71 yr old grandma here, I love our KitchenAid stand up mixer! My husband and I were asking what to get each other for Christmas and talking about making cookies for our neighbors this year. In comes an email about KitchenAid’s sale. Yep, our gift to each other! We’ve made so many cookies and so much bread of every flavor lol. Thank you KitchenAid!

More Expensive and not as good.

Purchased as a gift for my daughter who has long admired my own 25 year old KitchenAid mixer.
On its very first use we discovered that the brand new unit is extremely loud when running. Three times the sound from the motor as my old one. It does not have as much low speed torque as my old one. The Power or speed lever is very difficult to adjust it's way too tight. They no longer put a spring on the spindle that keeps the attachments in the bow. Overall they price of these have increased but NOT the quality.
