[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first stand mixer and I am in love. My last batch of 100+ cookies about burned out the motor of my handheld mixer, plus it was somewhat exhausting holding the handheld and fighting with so much stiff cookie dough. So I decided to bite the bullet and buy my stand mixer after I watched a family member and her 4-year old breezily make a batch of cookies with theirs. What a game changer. My KitchenAid was on my side the whole time and in fact took the lead in the fight. Not only did it manhandle the dough perfectly, but it continued to do so unsupervised while I stepped away to measure the next tranche of ingredients to add, all while my KitchenAid merrily mixed away. I'm so happy I made the investment in this stand mixer, which now makes big batch baking a pleasure. I do wish the whisk was dishwasher-safe, especially for the overall price of the mixer, but it was not difficult to hand wash (just a bit annoying). I otherwise love the premium accessory pack. I purchased the matte black mixer and splurged on a porcelain mixing bowl with cool modern black and white stripes that was on sale. This matched our home's modern style perfectly and now the mixer is a beautiful piece of art on our countertop. All in all, my only disappointment is that it took me so long to make this investment in my baking life!!

Dry ingredients are thrown outside the bowl

I'm frustrated with how the dry ingredients sre yhrown out of the bowl when using the mixer.

The slow speed is so fast that I turn on the slowest setting and every time all of the ingredients in my bowl shower all over me and the kitchen. It doesn’t matter whether the ingredients are wet or dry. Also the lock setting continuously self loosens so the top is always bouncing in the bowl making the mess bigger.

Makes Baking a Breeze

I've made cinnamon rolls from scratch, chocolate cupcakes, frosting, and muffins. This mixer makes the recipes so much easier than before. My 3 year old is able to use my Kitchenaid with me, and even helps clean it. I'm incredibly happy with this mixer.

Brand new and came with flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this and thought I'd love it - I still might, but there are a few things I am already put off by. It's a brand new machine and I had to adjust the head lock mechanism right out of the box. The lock now works when the head is down but still not when it is up (and it scratched the finish down to the metal, so the finish doesn't last at all either). One attachment came with a few places that look slightly damaged on the finish. And the body of the machine has a few places where the finish is chipped, right out of the box. On top of it all I guess the warranty is only able to be processed over the phone, and I work most of the time they are open for business and the rest of the time I'm working with my toddler. So what time do I have to call and sit on the phone? None. It's very frustrating to pay so much for a machine and have so many aesthetic and design issues right out of the box, plus great unresponsiveness on the part of the company.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this KitchenAid® Artisan® Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer last month and I didn't hesitate to make my first cake for Thanksgiving. I'm used to using electric hand mixers, so this made everything so much easier and quicker with less work on me. The cake even tasted a little more moist and better to me. My son was just excited as I was to use it as I was. This mixer came with everything I would need to prepare breads, cakes and other doughs. I'm so impressed that I volunteered to prepare a few more deserts for my family's Christmas gathering.
