Feels sturdy…but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve bought the Kitchenaid mixer after seeing so many great reviews. I’ve grown into my cooking phase now and needed something to bring everything together.
The unit itself is heavy and feels robust. You would think it would be able to power through anything.
Unfortunately, my first meal was to make pasta for dinner. Putting all the ingredients together my stand mixer looked to be going well, until it mixed all the eggs and flour together where it physically stopped turning and made a horrible sound.
Since that day I’ve only made easier mixtures because the first 2 speed settings sound like broken gears and I was hoping to have this unit for a long time not a short time.
I love the mixer for cakes and other recipes but don’t recommend for any thicker dough (bread or pasta) even with the dough hook.
Buy this if you’re making cakes!

It’s a quality, sturdy, well designed mixer that looks amazing. My only wish is that it had a slight build up to the speed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive my Kitchen Aid Mixer from my sister for my 50th birthday. I love to cook, but have struggled to make desserts and breads with a food processor. I have made beautiful biscuits, cakes pancakes, focaccia and pizza dough. The attachments and splash guard are easy to install and clean. The base is very sturdy, it is simple to operate and the motor is quiet. I look forward to trying out my library of recipes and mastering my new KitchenAid Mixer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this product a couple of months ago after much research with the view of making my enjoyment of cooking an enhanced experience. I was not disappointed. The product lived up to its positive reviews and I now make dough, particularly pizza dough, with far more precision. Great unit which be pride of place in all kitchens.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the mixer two months ago and is amazing! I can prepare all my cakes, the doughs for pies and the texture is from other heaven!!! I always use it from the slowest to the medium high speed, that’s a trick for a good mix and a great texture.
