A must have for every kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After dreaming of owning one for so long, I was gifted a Kitchen Aid KM195 for my birthday this year. So far I have made sponge cake, biscuits, bread rolls, hot cross buns, pizza dough and buttercream. They have all turned out so much better than when I was using a hand mixer/kneading by hand. The plastic shield it comes with is a life saver for cleaning up, the dough hook kneads so effortlessly and you can even use the paddle attachment to crumb butter and flour together. If you are new to using a Kitchen Aid, I highly recommend downloading the cook book as it advises you which attachments are required for the recipe and the correct speeds. Absolutely highly highly highly recommend!

Easy to use, much quieter than others I've had over the decades too. The scraper beater is a fame changer. So far, I've baked banana cake, poke cake, dough and tart fillings. If you've ever wondered how fabulous it would be to own one, then this is your sign to get one. The butter yellow goes so well with my yellow themed kitchen, lemons and sunflowers. No man could ever make me feel this blissfully happy! 😁

I’d be lost without it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had mine for approx 2 weeks now and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve used it already. I used it to effortlessly bake 3 cakes in the one day for my kids joint birthday party, I made my first ever successful batch of buttercream with it and I use it for almost everything that requires mixing. I’m yet to try more complex things like pastry and I don’t have additional attachments as yet but I do plan to in the future. If I was to be picky, the only downside would be I have found a couple of times it hasn’t scraped right to the bottom of the bowl so have had some leftover flour that hasn’t been mixed in at times but I’m not sure if that’s the machine, the attachment or user error. But overall I absolutely love my KSM195 and I wouldn’t be without it anymore. If you’re on the fence as whether to by one, then do it! I sat on the fence for a while but I’m glad I took the plunge.

One machine for everything. Love making dough

My wife is much appreciative of me after buying this, she can make dough in 2mins where she use to work 15mins to make a dough by hand.

Fantastic stand mixer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple a weeks ago and have been thrilled with its performance. My mum has been over several times to use it, and has joked she’d like to “borrow” it permanently. We are both avid bakers and have enjoyed using the many attachments. The splash guard is great as it is larger than the last mixer I had, and has an opening where you can add the ingredients mess free while the mixer is still running. The feathered pick colour is very pretty and subtle. I just wish KitchenAid would make more products in this colour, as it looks lovely sitting on the counter.

Quite a workhorse, with style

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is quite a recent purchase and I don't have a license, so the first trip around the block was a disaster. We tried to make some Madelines and the mixer did way too good a job of stiffening the egg whites, so when other ingredients were added, the whole mixture was over mixed. We had to settle down; not used to the size and power.
The next weekend, I made a fruit loaf and Oh My Goodness, what a gorgeous delicacy that turned out to be. So evenly mixed; so soft and moist with a beautiful balance. So easy to add ingredients on the go. Using the cover prevents any flour cloud or spills; not that much gets over the top of the huge mixing bowl.
We are definitely getting the glass bowl to complement our new mixer and the juicer. Probably the mincer after that.

Built to last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve just discovered the joy of the dough hook, and the scraper attachment - so efficient. Also surprised by the quietness of the machine, compared to my last mixer. Fits neatly under the bench, not too heavy to lift. The speed control feels a little clunky compared to a dial, but I think this is a fair trade off for the robustness and simplicity of the build.
