nutribullet won't sell the extractor base that screws to the plastic container. This is the part that fails most frequently.

Difficult to clean!

The bottom of the blender cup does not come apart so you can't thoroughly clean it. If you're making smoothies with just fruits veggies and water you're fine, but if you have ingredients like milk, yogurt and eggs, that's pretty dangerous because you can never fully get the residue out of the cracks between the blade piece and the cup. I bought mine, used it once and couldn't get it fully clean so I've never used it again for fear of bacteria from the milk and eggs I used in it. Total waste of money. If I had known it didn't come apart I never would have bought it. It's a great blender but the inability to clean it well ruined it for me.

Bacteria death trap

Be careful, the blade compartment is very hard to keep clean and sterile. Under the blade is the impeller seal, it collects build-up. We have also removed the rubber seal and purchased extra seals, once you remove it and see the collection of prior use buildup, you’ll be horrified. The work to clean this piece is not worth the trouble. And yes, after every use, immediately, we wash it, but it still builds up. Mine is only a few months old and I won’t use it anymore. On to another product with a better blade and seal system that is easier to clean and maintain.

I love it!!! Makes smoothies so fast and correctly. The ice is blended down right with no big pieces of ice left. So easy to clean. I drink right out of the blender cup with a straw. Looks nice on countertop in kitchen with not taking up too much room. Most of these types of Kitchen items are used for a short period of time and then put up. I am sure my Nutribullet will be used and is a smart investment for me.

I purchase the original Nutribullet when first sold in 2012. I still use it daily and it still works great. I have had to replace cups when I broke one and gaskets but otherwise nothing. It's a great investment and I would never be without one. I use it for more than smoothies:. pancake mix, nuts, bread crumbs, slushes, etc. Love it!

Super-reliable for daily smoothies

We just made our first smoothie with our FOURTH Nutribullet - the Pro 1000. Our first was in 2012 and we've replaced every three years. We had an issue with the first one, which the company resolved swiftly and appropriately. Our go-to ingredients are: Kale or spinach; a sprig of fresh mint; banana; a combo of berries; a few pineapple chunks; with water! We change it up with avocado, apple chunks, flax seeds, etc. We use it every single day and we love it.

Blender that does not last

If you want performance for short time this machine is perfect.
However if you don't want to replace every year because it will only last past the warranty, than this is not the machine for you. I have gone through 5. Gaskets leak, motor burned out, just stopped working. I like the convenience of blend and go, however I have had my vitamix for 15 years and no problem.

Sturdy, well built.

I bought a Magic Nutri-bullet in 2014. I use it almost everyday. Just last week I took it apart and thoroughly cleaned it because it was leaking. It has worked like a charm for me. I love it. It helps me to eat healthier. It's a well built machine.
