Small and Vacuum Seals

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Foodsaver VS1210 helps extend the life of food by vacuum sealing and the machine doesn’t take up too much room. I like that the machine can be stored flat or vertically, which makes it easy to put away the Foodsaver when not in use. The downside of this being a space saving version of a Foodsaver is that it doesn’t have a bag or roll cutter installed inside. I don’t mind just using a pair of scissors instead and rather have a smaller machine. The machine is easy to use with just three buttons. I like that it also has the ability to use other Foodsaver accessories in addition to sealing bags. It did not take much of a learning curve to use this machine. I don’t find it any less powerful than full size Foodsavers. One negative of this machine is that it does require a bit of muscle strength to lock the machine down before being able to use it. The cover has to be pressed on both sides before you can start to seal or vacuum which might be difficult for some people with strength issues. The Foodsaver is useful to store groceries in the freezer and to separate up items bought in bulk. I also like to use it to seal things like bags of chips and other snacks. I think this is a good vacuum sealer overall and especially good if you are low on space and want one with a smaller footprint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this was rather difficult to use. Also the instruction book was not good, very vague on instructions. There were also a couple pieces that were included that I'm not sure what you did with them, nothing in the instructions mentioned anything about them. It took me about 6 tries to get the vacuum to work. I found you have to have quite a bit more of the plastic than the size of the food in order to get it to vacuum. There was very little of the plastic and bags needed included with the appliance, so you would have to purchase that also. All in all, it would be quite pricey to use. On the plus side, if you can get it to vacuum seal, I think it would very nicely preserve the food item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect way to preserve food!

The pouches are easy to prep and can be reused if needed which is a great feature. The instructions are easy to follow and make this a very simple process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a FoodSaver VS1210 Space Saving Vacuum Sealer. I love the smaller footprint, but with the same strength as the larger one. My parents have the larger size and it was way too big for my kitchen. This space saver is so much smaller. I have saved so much shopping in larger quantities and freezing. This is absolutely the best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting this space saving vacuum sealer for some time and it did not disappoint. We have been purchasing our meats from a farm in Maine, so having this sealer has been a great way to freeze the meat and leave plenty of room in my freezer. It was very easy directions and easy to use. It seals the meat so tightly that I feel it is very well protected. Thawing the meat and taking it apart is not a problem either.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is not too big which makes it easy to store. It is great quality and came with everything I needed to get started.
