So easy I didn’t need instructions!

I purchased the FoodSaver® Premiere VS3130 just this week and since I have stored half a cow, 6 chickens, pork chops and ribs, etc. I should have purchased a more commercial kind but decided on this one and I’m not regretting one bit of it. I have never vacuum sealed before and was able to figure this out without using instructions. I am now cutting my own individual size bags and it’s working out great.

Did not work well, if at all, and was an immediate return. Could not seal the bags correctly and had to use the vacuum/seal function multiple times to get it to work. Atrociously bad vacuum ability, it barely removed air and was not worth the time. Do not buy this unit, it will cause freezer burn if you can get it to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Newer is NOT Better

I got this to replace an older model (well over ten years old) that was starting to lose its efficacy. This model is absolutely terrible. It uses so much plastic in order to cover a food item. The "5 inch Ruler" provided with the new rolls is just an example of the waste associated with sealing.
Also, I don't feel like the sealing mechanism is adequate. I have noticed freezer burn on a couple of food items. I have only used it a handful of times and find it inconsistent.
I am not sure how my husband purchased this but, boy would I like to return it and go back to what I had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't waste your money!!!

This sealer was a replacement for a previous model that failed. Now it has also failed after minimal use. It seals the bags without vacuuming the air out. I do not recommend these machines because they don't do what they're supposed to do. If there is the slightest wrinkle in the bags, they won't work. Don't waste your money.

Great sealer! But the cutter blade popped off and I can not find a replacement for it. My wife wants to throw it away because there are no replacement parts for it.

THIRD FOODSAVER AND NO GASKET AVAILABLE

When I bought my second FoodSave due to no gasket available, a shopper advised me NOT to buy it stating repair parts are NOT AVAILABLE.. I did not listen. When it failed to vacuum the gasket was not available. I bought a THIRD FoodSaver two years ago and now no gasket is available. If you don't believe me read the reviews at least the ones they want you to read.
