Fantastic Galaxy Fold Device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy the galaxy ultra devices but I decided the Fold 7 was the first foldable good enough for me. I love the look and the weight of the phone. I absolutely love that it can fold open to a bigger screen. The fold7 fits perfect in your pocket with less weight than an ultra. I love the new ai features, especially for the camera system. This device is great for anyone who loves a big screen, good battery life and awesome multi tasking. The only thing I think they need is to have it work with the s pen and a bigger battery would be great. The camera is very good. Try the fold7 you wont be disappointed!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fold 7 is genuinely in a category of its own. The form factor still gets double-takes -- folded, it's pocketable and feels like a normal phone. Open it up and you have a full tablet display that's sharp enough to make every other screen look like a compromise.
Battery has been a real surprise. I was skeptical a phone this thin could last a full day of heavy use. It does, comfortably.
Galaxy AI is woven in everywhere it makes sense, not bolted on as an afterthought. It's the kind of feature set that quietly changes how you work without making a big deal of itself.
Traded up from a traditional slab and I won't be going back. This is what a flagship should feel like in 2025.

Screen is gorgeous, multitasking actually feels useful not gimmicky, and the hinge feels solid with the crease barely noticeable once you're using it. Performance is smooth, zero lag even with heavy multitasking, and battery life holds up fine through the day.
My one real issue: this thing is slippery. Like genuinely dangerous slippery. Without a case, holding it feels like holding a bar of soap. I've had a few close calls where it slid right out of my hand, and given the price tag, that's not something I want to gamble on. The glass back combined with how slim it is makes a secure one handed grip tough, especially when shifting your hand to unfold it.
Put a case on it and the problem just vanishes completely. So it's not a deal breaker, but feels like something Samsung should fix at the design level instead of leaving it to accessories.
Also really miss the built in S Pen slot from older Fold models. The Fold 7 doesn't support the S Pen at all anymore, and that's a real step back for anyone who used it for notes or sketching. Hoping Samsung brings that back in a future version.
Bottom line: get this phone, but get a case from day one. Once it's cased up, this is easily one of the best phones out right now, just wish the S Pen support hadn't disappeared.
