We have a woodburner in our living room but it’s not the most comfortable place to sleep, so when we decided to remodel our room (still under construction) and the wife wanted the ambiance of a fire, it was a no brainer. After reading the reviews we purchased the 36” sideline and couldn’t be happier. She has had it on every night so far and we put the heat function to the test in Michigan and we were impresssd. I didn’t understand the reviews stating it puts out little heat, it heats our 200sq ft room in minutes. I would recommend buying this as an addition for ambiance and not sole heating purposes.

Sideline 80014 36” Recessed Insert

Love the look and feel. It installed easily in my existing fireplace opening, just needed to cut some old sheet metal away. I give it a 4 rating only because it makes a noise from the screen rotor that in a quiet room is a little annoying. With the heater blower running it mostly blocks that noise.

I purchased this fireplace as part of a remodel to my 20 year old 5th wheel camper. We removed the entertainment center with its early 21st century technology, and the built in desk. The Touchstone Sidline provides ambiance and supplements the furnace fabulously! I am what they call a full-timer. I will have photos as soon as the remodel is complete, if you are interested.
