This is my second otter box purchase. The first one protected my phone many times after it hit the ground. The case a few scratches but the phone was in perfect condition when I traded in for a new model. The Otterbox is the only case for me.

I had originally planned to get one of the cases with the integrated popsocket, but I'm glad I went this route! The case is thin and unobtrusive but feels sturdy. It's smooth, but not slippery, so it goes in and out of pockets without issue. The buttons are responsive, and, overall, this is a well-made case. Yes, the rubber part of the case does temporarily pick up some color from your jeans, which is not ideal (I got the case in yellow), but it comes off, and the smooth plastic portion of the case isn't discolored. I have not tested its protection ability by dropping my phone, yet, and I hope I never will... but... it seems like it should do the job. I'd love for a case like this to have the all-around protection the defender does, but protection without bulk is my preference right now.
