I bought it to replace my stainless steel one and am just as disappointed. It's lid doesn't open all the way and stay open, the rim inside is great in theory, but it should clip into the lid so you aren't having to juggle when changing the trash. Then it seems next to impossible to get a bag in. So it's a lot of struggling to change the trash

I've had the bronze version for several years. Great colour for my teak-coloured kitchen cabinets. So durable!!! Still works perfectly. Takes nice big bags! The one thing I wish: that the lip of the bag, once stretched over the top of the bin, didn't show.
The top has already broke off I would not suggest getting this item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sleek looking trash can with a modern feel to it. I like the round curves and design and the silver accent food pedal and trim. Since it's round, you won't be able to have them fit nicely next to one another (let's say you want one for trash, one for recycle). It's a decent size- holds enough so you don't have to empty it often but doesn't take up too much space. I'd say it's just the right balance of those two things.
It looks nice in our kitchen, but I'm not keeping it there as it has one huge drawback. It's been designed so that the lid closes slowly, rather than slamming shut. That's cool, but the lid closes WAY too slowly. It takes 16 secs for it to close (yes, we timed it), which is long enough for trash smells to escape and be noticed (assuming you place this in your kitchen as we did). I personally prefer the stink to stay INSIDE the trash can. I suppose you could close it with your hand, but that's pretty unsanitary and I wouldn't want to do that (or tell kids they had to do that).

I did a lot of research on trash cans for the kitchen before my purchase I’m so happy with my final decision. Looks modern without taking up too much space. The trash bag fits nicely inside to give it a clean polished finish and is easy to install. I strongly recommend going to a brick and mortar location to purchase this can. Some reviews state they close to slow or slam shut abruptly. I test drove (pedal to the metal) hahaha a few cans on the shelf before I found one that met my liking as far as closing goes. This is a must have trash can.
I bought this item a month ago. Love the pedal feature and style!

Best trash can we have ever owned

Bought 2 of these for our house in South Carolina and loved them. Bought another for our house in Colorado. The ring holds the bag in place and makes it easy to remove without tearing holes in the bag. We have had the fancy electric ones that open by motion. They didn't work as well and were difficult to remove the bag from, and cost twice as much.
Excellent, well made trash can. It is good looking and holds up well. The lid does not come apart as so many others do. The inside lid that covers the top of the trash bag is great.
