[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sturdy plastic trash can is both attractive and functional. The can is a nice lightweight solid plastic with a smooth finish, which lends well to keeping it wiped down and clean. The foot pedal is easily compressed, with very little effort which is nice for those with less leg strength (kids, older adults, etc.). The stay put bag band is a great feature, that does just that, keeps the bag in place eliminating the occasional mess that resulted from the bag folding in on itself. Finally the soft close lid is great! The lid closing slowly and softly means no blow back of dust, ashes, etc.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This UMBRA Brim Step On Trash Can is perfect in my house! The size is perfect and the step on feature is easy to use for the entire family. I like that we don't have to touch the germs on the trash can while opening it. I also really like the color and the brim feature that holds the trash bag in place. Overall, this trash can works perfect for our needs and I recommend to anyone looking for this size.

Quiet close, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this garbage can. It's not overly bulky, gotta nicely in the space I have and had a really great look. It looks really high end. The rim to hold the bag is so handy. Fits on easily and holds the bag firmly so no more bags falling in. The lid opens and closes quietly, no slamming and banging. The lid closes completely so it keeps nosy cats out and contains any kitchen odors as well. Overall I'm really happy with this and would definitely get another. 10/10

I love the rim that keeps bags in a place. Nice and quiet closure. And I also like it’s large capacity. Gotta get the second one for my basement!

Broken Lid after 2 months of use

I purchased this trash can hoping it would be much better. I have purchased Umbra trash cans in the past but didn't find the larger size swing top that I had about 15 years ago. I have 2 kids in the home and just from normal use, the lid stopped working. After looking into it more, it completely broke. I am so disappointed in this trash can. I did recently purchase the Grand Swing Top to replace it. My only frustration is it might be a bit too small for my family size but I know that trash can will last!

This item was back ordered, so I kept checking back to find out when it was in stock. I was excited because it seemed like the ideal trash can: bronze, step to open, slow close and holds a 13 gallon bag. It is bronze. It is NOT a slow close at all, 13oz bags is too small.
