Bought it for my son for his first apartment. Color wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. Got the "silver", but it was dingy. And, there was a very loud snap whenever you would open and close it. But, my son stuffed cardboard near the hinges which helps lessen the noise. Would have returned, but too busy to be bothered. The only good thing was the price.

This order included two bronze and one charcoal cans. The bronze can I kept has a design flaw. The mechanism that allows the can to open and close as well as open and stay is defective. When attempting to close from the stay position, the two pins are aligned “catty corner” instead of horizontally.
In order to get it to close you have to force the pins into alignment. I think eventually one or both will break as they are plastic.
This was a repeat purchase because I loved the initial one so much.

Lid doesn’t open more than halfway and the plastic lip that keeps the bag on doesn’t stay on either, would lift up with the lid. Item returned, return process was excellent from Umbra.

Lid quit working

I followed instructions to fix lid popping issue and it broke the tab off the lift mechanism. The design is weak or I have a defective product

Some design flaws. The lid doesn’t fully open all the way when you step on it. There’s also a rim to hold the bag in place, but it doesn’t stay up when you’re trying to remove the trash. It gets in the way and makes it difficult to remove the bag.
