I got mine a few weeks ago and it's ok. It doesn't open wide enough and I think the slow closing lid isn't a good idea for a trash can.

The opening mechanism works very well. The overall build of the can is sturdy. It’s a little tricky to get the bags slipped around the top edge, so that’s why the 4 stars; but maybe that helps them stay put.
