Love hate relationship

My son bought this for me as my previous can lid had broken. This one is great as long as your not changing the bag. When changing the bag, the lid and trim fall none stop, trash can is slightly too big for trash bags (bags are not knock off cheap ones either). So it is a struggle to stretch the bags to fit the can. Many broken nails.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lid does not close on its own.

The can is nice, but the soft close "feature" doesn't let the lid close. It stops a few inches short. With or without the bag in. How can I fix?

Noisy opening and closing

I bought mine five years ago because the description touted it having a soft-close lid. This was true for about a year. What they don’t tell you is that it squeaks obnoxiously when you use the pedal to open it. It would have been tough to return it due to the pandemic. And it does need non-skid footing as it does slide when stepping on the pedal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this trash can. It’s well made and sturdy. Doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. I also really like that it holds the trash bag in place. There is something that fits over the rim to keep the bag from sliding. I think that is GENIUS! The only thing I find is a bit annoying is that the lid goes down slowly. Other than that I think it is a great trash can! I would recommend it, especially if the slowness doesn’t bother you!

I wanted a trash can that would look nice in my updated kitchen. This trash can not only looks nice but feels updated with extra features like the step to open the lid, touches of chrome and the "ring " that holds the lid in place.
