Goes from Oven to Warm Easily!

I really like this crock! It's a little smaller than I would probably like, but for just the two of us or for party events for small groups, it works great. We used it to keep a casserole warm on a two hour drive and it worked perfectly. I love that the crock easily fits in my oven to make things crispy!

Awesome addition to our cookware

We are a two person family again and although our 8 year old larger Crock-Pot still works very well (same brand). We now us the larger one for family get togethers. This 2.5 quart crockpot is the perfect size for the two of us. We cook pork rib, short ribs, 1 lb. roasts, and of course cassaroles all in portion sizes just right for the two of us. For those of us that are a little older than most this baby does not weigh much, takes up less space and it is easy to clean.

Performance fine

My concern is safety. I found a split in the outer coating of the power cord exposing bare wiring. It appears to be a design defect in that the wire position has a 90 degree bend when in use causing unnecessary stress on the power cord. I was on link thinking there may be a manufacturing product recall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect size but

I bought this in March. Since I’m living by myself it’s the perfect size.
After using it for 8+ months I’m starting to notice the the crock is crazing: has developed a series of tiny cracks. Still usable but my 20 year old crock pot which has had heavy use has not started to craze yet. In addition, the one end of the oval definitely heats more than the other. Bottom line. Love the size but am concerned that crock pot quality has decreased dramatically over the years.

If you run your fingernail over the surface of the stoneware and it does not catch on any of the cracks, the cracks do not go all the way through and are just spider cracks. Spider cracks are a minor defect in the outer most layer of the glaze on the stoneware. They are not considered a safety issue and will not progress into full cracks causing any safety hazards.
