Stylish, different than the typical crock pot!

I just rec'd this crock pot today. It is for a gift for a single woman who is needing to learn how to cook for one person. This fits the bill beautifully! It is just the right size for 1-2 people and could easily hold a chicken breast and a large baked potato.....or a side dish at a big dinner. This crock pot is amazingly pretty, too. Crock Pot, you've outdone yourself on this little beauty.

I purchased this crock around Christmas and have used it several times. I just love it! The size is perfect for just me. I am trying out a new Pinterest recipe for beef roast right now!

I bought this pot during holidays of 2015. In addition the great locking travel lid, It has turned out to be such a great size for my small empty nest family. It is good for casseroles for two, two chicken breasts w/ BBQ or other sauce, 3-4 boneless pork chops w/any favorite seasoning, small pork loin or beef tips au jus, stuffed peppers, side dishes, even desserts. Anything that would sit at the bottom of other slow cookers and not fill 2/3 of the space like recommended. I use mine frequently, more than I use my 4,5,6 qt. cookers. For me shallow is good.

Clutter on the Lid

I would love to have one ofr these, but those awkward things attached to the lid & sides have to go. Any plans to make a cleaner one with less clutter? Original crockpot design is fine. You don't have to mess with it like this.

Please note, the hinges on the lid are to lock the lid down during transportation. We do carry many slow cookers that do not have this feature.

I find myself using this all the time; I would of given it 5 stars. If it were not for the lid. It get water under the handle from condensation and when you wash it, very difficult to get it all out unless you take screwdriver and loosen it, drain, then re-tighten. I think this is design flaw, should have rubber stopper or something - it just an are for bacteria to grow.

The first casserole I had did not get over 180 degrees. I called the co and was told it must be defective. She said no need to return it, just throw it out and they would send me a new one. I received the new one and it also will not reach a temp of 215 which in the Q&A here they say it would.
I am returning this item and I feel I should get a FULL refund.
