These latches replaced the stock plastic hinges that failed due to exposure to the sun and over cycling. This design, using stainless steel is better for this application.

I bought these to replace the latch on a much older Igloo cooler. The retention is not nearly as good as the original. I would have hoped for better given the cost. Igloo should look to their latch designs from 40 years ago. Much better design.

This replacement lock was supposed to be universal. It was too small for the cooler that I have. The larger ones were not available online.
