110 converter cable

Recently purchased the 110 converter cable and the box gets extremely hot when plugged in after a little while. Is this normal

In the photos I couldn’t see the cooler connection properly. I took a chance hoping it was a 1 male connection. It turned out it was 2 female connection. Hope this helps.
