The piece does not fit the cooker I have. The cooler that I have is nolonger on the market anywhere. I need to know was the cooler I have defective? And why was it taken off the market?

These plugs are poorly made and melt. I am about to have to buy my third plug now IN UNDER A YEAR. This is ridiculous.

Very disappointed that while the site showed only one replacement cord, this one did not fit our recently purchased cooler. The one we need is not available. The post for selling the cord should include a photo of the end of the cord since different ones fit thermal coolers with the same names.

I recieved the 12V DC

I recieved the 12V DC power cord two days ago. According to my husband when he plugged in the 12V DC power cord to the cooler (perfect fit) it was a better fit and a better quality then the one from the original cord our cooler can with. This kept his water, food and ice a lot cooler then without it especially in this hot weather. Out thermoelectric cooler gets used daily so its great a second fuse as a back up that came with it. If we have any issues I will of course reach out to you. But as for now I say thank you.

This power cord fit tightly

This power cord fit tightly into the DC connector and into our vehicle’s cigarette lighter connections working perfectly. Our previous power cord fit loosely and would not turn on easily. Igloo has corrected their previous problem

Wear Out Prematurely

I've had the same Igloo 40QT thermoelectric cooler for over ten years now as an over the road truck driver and it's been rock solid and far better than the competition. However, the weakest spot on these coolers is the power cable.
The springs that hold the plug steady in the 12v socket are not strong enough to handle being plugged in 24/7/365 so I learned not to trust my Igloo was running all the time and had to constantly check it. New cords are great, but within a handful of weeks, the problem happens again. I never had this issue with the C-branded cooler, but those never lasted as long as my Igloo which I have passed on to my husband who uses it weekly as he is a truck driver as well. I've considered it a normal maintenance item for this unit, and I always keep one or two spares handy. Please don't stop making them Igloo!

Did not fit cooler

I bought this 12v power cord to replace the one that melted for my 28qt cooler, this is the only power cord available. Not only does the end that plugs in to the cooler not fit, it is also a different shape.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
