I was really happy with this laptop, but the keys are too close together with not much seperation. I had a pavillion laptop for a decade with no typeing issues. I struggle with this Laptops keypad set up. For what I spent to get all the features, the keypad is "bush league".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sure wish it had a cd player/ writer and a plug for ethernet cable. Sometimes we can't go with the times. I like cable hooked up to a wire, not wifi. Other than that it works great.
