Dual fuel is a great option because propane is a lot easier to maintain; Remote start option is nice; Easy to maneuver with wheels and extension handle.

Perfect Size for My Needs

Have completed setup (was easy) and 5 hours of break-in run time, powering a variety of fans, lights, and portable heater as test items. All worked well. So far, I am happy overall with this purchase. It is the right size and power for my needs (backup home power). Love that I can use either gas or propane. It started on very first push of electric start button on both fuels. It is relatively quiet. I can hear my neighbors non-inverter gen more than I can hear my own. And I I love that they included a battery charger, since it will sit unused a lot of the time. If I had complaints or suggestions for improvement, they would be: 1) as reported by other users, adding the entire bottle of provided oil as stated in instructions overfills the engine and you'll get oil running back out the fill plug. 2) while the electric start worked flawlessly, the manual pull method took many pulls to get engine to fire, 3) it doesn't run smoothly in Efficiency Mode on propane at low RPM. Once load is increased or Efficiency Mode turned off then it smooths out. 4) the LED Data Center display of fuel level doesn't work so far. With either gas in tank or propane attached, the Fuel Level and Remaining Run Time both always displayed zero, no matter the actual fuel level. Power output, voltage, and lifetime hours all display accurately. 5) I wish they would include a TT-30 to 5-15 or 5-20 adapter, so the RV-Ready outlet could easily also be used in the home right out of the box.

I bought the igen4500df due to California's power outages. What a life saver. It ran my refridg, small appliances, tv and fan. I'm sure I could have run more but am new to generator life and wanted to stay cautious. I over filled the oil so I had a small mess to clean. Noise is not too bad and fuel lasted much longer than I thought. I used propane rather than gas to save needing to run the excess gas out. I highly recommend the igen 4500. More than enough power.

I like that i have two choices of fuel source! It did not start until after the 6th try but i am thinking its just me getting too excited to start it. After that, no hassle, just one click! I cant give five star coz its too soon!

Easy to use

Just purchased so haven't had a lot of use yet but it was very easy to set up with everything supplied that was needed. I added a little gasoline, decided to try the manual start and it started with the first pull! Convenience of electric start is an added bonus. I was able to have a normal conversation with my neighbor who had walked over to see while we were standing only 5 feet away. Duel fuel is a great plus.

So Far So Good

Relatively easy set up, runs quietly. Leaks oil if moved, which is a pain as it's pretty hard to dead lift it. Technical writing on the intructions could be a little better. I expect this to last a long time and serve our needs well.

Nice Job!

I bought this from Amazon and it came quickly. I opened up all access points and checked it over for loose wires or damage in shipping, found nothing wrong and added the oil. I haven't had any outages since it came, but I ran it for two hours, on gas and on propane, and it ran well, powering a portable heater at different loads.
I am a little concerned about draining the oil when the time comes. The manual that came with the generator said to tip the generator to one side with the fill plug out and let it drain back out. That seems like it will get all over the inside of the case. The online manual suggests that there is a small bolt to remove just above the rubber plug in the bottom. That may be better. Time will tell....
Anyway, I am ready for our next power outage.
