I bought this to use with my r.v. the convenience of the remote start and the quiet operation are great! Three fact that it is dual fuel is a plus.

I love that it will run on propane as well as gas. Also, the wheels make it relatively easy to move its heavy weight. The owner's manual is easy to understand.

Relatively quiet and quick response time

The unit was easy to set up and everything worked as designed. I ran load tests on the unit and found it to respond well to small air conditioner compressor load changes. I am using it to power certain appliance at my home during power outages in California. There has been no problem in powering up my electronically controlled appliances such as my smart refrigerator, computers, and big screen TV, room air conditioner etc.
The unit is relatively quiet and I love the efficiency mode. It is a good size unit for essential backup power.
Minor complaint is that is does not have a 240VAC connection and the 30A power outlet is a three wire system (120VAC). This makes it a bit unconventional when connecting to a power transfer switch cabinet.

I also wish it came with a longer propane hose for connecting to a tall 125 gallon propane tank. The hose supplied is generally used with a 5 gallon propane tank.
Also it is not to be left out in the rain, so I will need to build an open air cover for the unit.

Love the Dual Fuel!

The iGen4500 DF is easy to set up, just plug in the battery connector and add the pre-messured oil. I hooked my iGen to propane and then used the remote start fob to start. It started the very first time. You can also use the electric start on the machine and it has a pull start as well.
I shopped a long time for generators, and this generator came to the top of the list. Powerful enough for home emergency backup. Quiet inverter technology that can power sensitive electronics. Electric start. And will run on gas or propane!
