iGen5000DF Electric Start Duel Fuel Generator

I purchased this generator to use while in our RV. It works great! We can run our AC/Heater and the microwave at the same time. No problem! We will also use it as a backup power source in the event our home power goes out. It will run our freezer and refrigerator without any issues.

Inverter is exactly what I'm looking for. Ease to start was a big seeling point so anyone in household could start if needed. Self charging batter another bonus.

I got home took it out of the box and filled it up with oil and gas and two pulls fired right up ran a jigsaw to test to start with, the real test will be in a few weeks when we start using it on the race car trailer! So far so good though I'm very happy with it.

I bought this for our new RV. We made a trip last month and used the unit for the 1st time. I have to say that the FOB is the best feature I have seen on a generator/inverter. To be able to turn the device on and off without having to get out of the trailer is so great.

Out of Box Success

Unpackaged and set up without a hitch! Runs well (9hrs so far) off Propane. Have not had chance to try with gasoline. Some overload reset issues attempting to start our [single AC unit] on our RV. After ensuring [all] other equipment on the rig was not engaged, was then able to start AC w/o causing overload. Unsure if the Inverter circuitry is the culprit (lower load tolerance) as I did not witness the ckt going over the peak 3.5Kw, but that [is] the mfg's recommended minimum generator spec. :) We will continue to have fun and learn more about our new iGen4500DFc!
