So far so good

Only complaint thus far was the oil filling cap is hard to get to, and it is difficult to determine when enough oil is added. I ended up over filling, and making a mess. Have not carried a load on the generator yet, but I ran it for almost an hour to break in. Very quiet, and everything appears to be working fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Economical Generator for Multiple Features Offered

Westinghouse provided excellent documentation (i.e. Operator’s Manual, Suggested Maintenance Schedule, Troubleshooting Guide, Detailed Parts Lists, Electrical Schematic) for their iGen4500DF Inverter Generator. Mine started just fine using the remote key fob and LP Gas as its fuel source.

Initial Impression very Good

I have just opened the box and set it up. I was patient and careful, i.e. I followed RTFM and had no problems. I bought the dual fuel model because my purpose is to have it for emergency power backup. Turns out that increased thermal energy in the atmosphere creates violent wind storms that knock out power lines. Who could have predicted that? I don't want to use gasoline if possible since it will spoil in the tank if it's not used. The propane regulator connections were easy. The only issue is the small washer in the LPG line from the unit to the regulator is smaller than the fitting so it falls out. It seems like it could be a snug fit, but they wrapped the end of the hose in a plastic bag to avoid it being lost, which was a heads up. I left the hose connected to the regulator to avoid losing it in the future. Hooked up the battery and pressed the on button, and it started right up. I ran my basement dehumidifier for five hours to break in the motor per the instructions. It was less noisy than the neighbor's lawn mower so no big deal (i.e. no complaints from others in the house). No idea about longevity. Storing for long periods requires pulling the spark plug and putting oil into cylinders to avoid corrosion of the pistons. I plan to run it every month for a little while to power a blower or vacuum the car, which seems easier. I ran the dehumidifier and a blower, which was only 1/2 max power so it should be plenty to keep the refrigerator and the blower for the HVAC running in an emergency.

Easy to set up and start.

I just started it up in my driveway for the first time. Easy to set up and started right away. Very happy with that! A bit louder than we hoped but we could talk in a normal voice and hear each other standing right next to it. So far very happy. Taking it off the grid this weekend for the full trial! Would have been happier if informed about high altitude kit at time of purchase.

the 4500DFC is the best for RV or Hunting camps, Very quiet and power full, easy the move with the handle. The remote start works #1 and have a very good range.
