I bought one of the regular gasoline Igen4500 last year and it was absolutely awesome. I just sold it to a friend to buy this Dual fuel model. When I first prepped it and started it, it had a little bit of noise. I thought it may be rod knock. I heat cycled it several times. then ran it at 1/4 load a couple of times and then changed the oil. The oil was silver with metal flakes in it. I ran the new oil for about 30 minutes and changed it again, more metal flakes in it.
This was not the normal break in for the first unit I bought. We will see I guess.

Got it running with the pull cord but right off the bat the remote start doesn't work and the generator stops working properly after an hour or so of running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been shopping for the perfect generator and this Westinghouse iGen4500DF fits the bill. Powerful yet still small enough that I can take it on the road.

We researched many different generator features and options. This one checked ALL the boxes. Quiet, dual fuel, run time, size, weight, remote/electric/manual start, and powerful enough to power our travel trailer.

I purchased the iGen4500DF to operate my entire travel trailer. After receiving the generator and running it through the break-in process I put it to the test and it did not stumble once! Very quite, very powerful and very affordable! Great features and easy to use! I would highly suggest this affordable dual fuel generator to anyone looking for a powerhouse!

We bought this after hurricane Ida because we work in healthcare and have to stay in the city to work in the hospital. We gave it a trial run and had no issues! Easy to follow instructions and relatively quiet which fit the bill.
