This generator has clean power and will run all my necessities during a black out. My 5 saltwater reef tanks, TV, Internet, lights and refrigerator are all able to run with this generator. It's size is smaller than I expected and the noise level is much lower than most gas generators. Set up was very easy and the electronic start remote was perfect to start the generator from inside the house. The dual fuel allows me to keep propane on hand then fill gas cans when the power goes out.

We just received the unit and were pleased with how easy it was to hook up. We intend to use this as an emergency generator for our home. With recent power shutdowns by our utility company in California and the 30th anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake, we felt it was time to get prepared. We will primarily use propane for the fuel source and were impressed with how easy it was to set up and run. It also was fairly quiet, even after hooking up some load to it. We haven't had the need to use it yet, but feel much better just knowing we have a way to provide power when we need it for critical items.

Very Nice Unit

I'm new to generators, but felt compelled to buy one after Pacific Gas and Electric developed a policy of cutting power to prevent wildfires. This is for emergency use only, or for when the power is cut for an extended time.
I chose this unit because it has the power I need, and it is dual fuel. I don't have have any gasoline tools, and don't want to store gasoline to run a generator infrequently. So, I was very attracted to the propane option on this unit. Also, this is an inverter generator, supposed to be safer for modern electronics... so everything in the house.
I've tested this unit on everything in the house, from refrigerator to running our furnace. It does everything except power our 220 Volt appliances.
One item that does bother me, and again I'm new to this: the 30 Amp plug is a TT-30r, not the more common LS-30, seen on most of the other generators I looked at. I guess this generator is designed more for use on travel trailers than as household backup. Finding a cord with TT-30p on one end, and household-plug on the other seems impossible; I had to by an adapter. I wish that Westinghouse supplied this adapter, or an optional replacement plug for this generator.

Just unpacked it, connected the battery, filled with oil, hooked up a propane tank and it started right away with the key fob.
Solid, great packaging and works great (so far)
Feel prepared for next PG&E safety blackout or next winter outage.
