Safe power

Used once to test hook up and test how much of house can be run. Like how the kw meter can be read when switching on and off devices

Works great, works quietly

Purchased for camping trips, but we've yet to take it out.. However we did run it the 5 hour break in period, changed the oil (which proved to be wise) and then ran the AC on the camper 30 minutes. Works just as anticipated. But please note the iGEN4500DF has a floating ground, so you'll need to take that into consideration if you use a power protection device. The luggage style handle and wheels work great except on going up/down stairs. The belly of the Gen set is not smooth so going up stairs using the wheels & handle won't work. Draining the oil can be just a little messy but not difficult to clean up. I'll find a tiny funnel to prevent the mess next time. Loosening the oil drain plug was a challenge for me as my hands are not small. I had to remove the side cover slightly in order to get a good grip with the wrench. A larger access door would be helpful but not a deal breaker. Love the gas Guage and load display.
I would recommend this unit and already have to a couple of friends. Really like the versatility, compact size, and appearance.

Haven’t used it much yet, but very happy with the remote start. A good long extension cord will make it possible to keep the engine noise at a distance. Everything seems to work well and provides ample power for most of my electric power tools.
