Great Features

Recently purchased to use on RV. Remote start and dual fuel options were some of the reasons I bought this unit. Eco feature and light weight were also a plus. Propane regulator, oil, funnel, tool kit were included. All that was needed was fuel. Very pleased with purchase so far!!!

1st iGen4500DF Runs Great on Gasoline - Purchased

I bought my 1st iGen4500 in January 2021. The generator runs very quietly and provides enough power for our travel trailer. The only issue that I have is that I can’t get the generator to run on propane even after I ensured that the system was purged of all gasoline and the selector switch was set appropriately. Today was the first time I attempted to run the generator on propane with no success. I went through the troubleshooting procedures several times with no success, but I switched back to gasoline and it runs fine. Today (2/19/2022) I have contacted Westinghouse to find out how this issue can be resolved along with the current recall that I just found out about. Hopefully Westinghouse’s customer service is good and we can get everything taken care of. I would love to provide a update to my review after we get these issues resolved. I have faith that they will make things right.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe this is an excellent generator that runs very quietly even with the issues that I am currently experiencing. I liked it so much, I purchased a second one last week along with a parallel cable so I can use the generators together during a power outage. I would recommend this generator to anyone.
I have started our second iGen4500DF for the first time today using propane and it runs great.

Bought for a backup emergency generator. Wanted the DF option for a second choice of fuel. Startup is easy, runs quiet, and the digital display is great.

Very nice features

Just fired the new generator up today and it started on the 3rd pull. It also has a remote start/off Fob that works great too.
It is a pretty heavy generator, but has wheels and nice pull bar.

Powerful & quiet

I bought this generator because of the 2021 winter storm in Texas, and less than a week after I got it I used it after a hurricane knocked out power for half a day. It had no problems powering all the essentials - my refrigerator, window unit, freezer, lights, and even a toaster oven to cook meals. The push button start is very convenient, especially for my wife. I especially love that it can use propane, so I can stock up and be shelf stable for a long time. All in all, I'm really pleased with this generator and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Beautiful generator. Super quiet.

The size is a perfect fit for the compartment and matches the wattage I need to power my inverter. My only issue is that the directions instruct me to disconnect everything from generator before starting. When power fails I need to remote start the unit to provide light. It’s a low load draw so I hope this doesn’t become an issue. The included manual is one of the most comprehensive publications I have ever seen. I could probably rebuild the unit looking at the pictures provided. Highly recommend. Great value.
